Methodology

How we compute every number

Every wage figure on RateOrchard traces back to a public source. We pull annual median, mean, and percentile wages from the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics May 2024 release. We adjust for cost of living using BEA Regional Price Parities (2023). Occupation skills, tasks, and job zones come from the O*NET 28.3 database. Employment projections come from the BLS 2024-34 cycle.

We do not scrape Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, Levels.fyi, or PayScale. We do not collect personal information from visitors. We do not sell leads. We are a data publisher, not a recruiter or a financial advisor.

AI commentary on each page is drafted with Anthropic Claude under a strict prompt that limits the model to facts already in the page's source JSON, then reviewed and edited against the source data before publishing. Every numerical claim is verifiable against a cited public dataset.
